Our initial inspection instantly revealed coolant contamination. Apparent "rusty water" appearance of transmission lubricant.
A leaking internal oil cooler resulted in a complete loss for this transmission.
The customer's original complaint started in this area. This transmission is a complete loss.
This transmission came in with a synchro complaint. He was surprised when we told him his whole transmission was ruined by an internal oil cooler failure.
This differential should not have been assembled. The thick layer of loctite indicates that it was in need of a hyatt bearing sleeve. You will not find this condition in an HTS unit!

Taken in the early 1920's in Walnut Grove, CA. This truck is chain drive, with solid rubber tires on the trailer. It often made trips to San Fransisco, where at least one flat tire was always expected. It was hand-loaded with pears.
